Here at the Leith Toy Hospital our team specialises in professional action figure repair and restoration. As our repairers are collectors, they understand the sentimental as well as the financial value behind every collectable figure. We know that owning a figure of your favourite character can bring so much joy.

We offer a wide range of repairs to a variety of action figures. From small collectables to large statement statues! Our repairs can be for delicate paint work touch ups or large crack filling and repainting. If your figurine has suffered from an accidental fall or has age related wear, that’s not an issue. We can help you!

Cleaning

Do you have a dirty action figure and are worried about damaging the paint or fragile parts? Not to worry! Our team can carefully provide you with a surface clean.

Hair Styling

Some figures come with wigs or rooted hair. We often find that these figures may need additional hair styling or cleaning after being on display for a long time.

If your action figure has lost some of its paint, our skilled repair team will be able to match paint to the original colour and bring it back to its original glory.

Surface Clean

Using special doll cleaner/cleaning putty we will carefully clean your figurine. Making sure the paint is unaffected.

Crack Fill and Repaint

We stabilise and glue any holes or cracks, fill them, sand until smooth, and paint to match the surrounding area.

Paint touch ups

If your action figure has any paint rubbed off either due to a scrape, a cleaning or a fall, we can match the original paint and touch up the damaged area.

Reattach limb

Some figures may be knocked over resulting in a part falling off. We use special resin glue to reattach the parts back together. Some may need extra reinforcement.

New part replacement

If your action figure has missing parts we can sculp new replica parts as replacements.

Action Figure Hair Styling

This Mezco Living Dead Doll of Michael Myers came to the Toy Hospital for a hair treatment. The original figure had the hair frizzy and matted. The hair styling involved detangling, smoothing and styling the hair according to the owners preference.

Action Figure Crack Repair

This resin Minion gnome paid a visit to the toy hospital after being damaged in transit. We have glued him back together, filled any cracks and painted them to minimise the visibility of the previously damaged areas.

Action Figure Hair Styling

This collectable Mezco Tiffany from Child’s Play figure came to us for a hair styling as the collector was unhappy with how unkept her hair was when they first took the figure out the box. To help them with this we provided a defrizzing and curling the hair.

Action Figure Limb Reattachment

This 1979 Kenner Xenomorph action figure came to us when the owen unfortunetly broke the arm off. We fixed the arm back on and now it’s back to being fully poseible.

Action Figure Crack Repairs

This collectable Tinker Bell was unfortunate to have been knocked over and broken. We have glued the parts back on, filled any cracks and painted the damaged areas to disguise the repairs so she can continue to be admired!

Action Figure Limb Reattachment

This animie figure of Black Lagoon from Balalaika came to use to be glued back together as the collector was worried about getting glue on other parts of the body. We provided a clean reattachment of the limb.
